The study was aiming to investigate capabilities for gender equality in the work context of women in the South African banking sector, was to study how gender stereotypes, organisational culture, and voice climate affect their gender equality capabilities, and was to study the effects of such capabilities on their well-being and intentions to leave. A further objective of this study was to determine whether demographic variables such as age, marital status, qualification, job position, and job tenure are related to experiences of gender inequality of women in the South African banking sector.
